Dress shopping as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Here at The Bustle, we strive to help guide our brides through the entire process of wedding gown shopping. Here are some guidelines of what to do before, during, and after finding your wedding dress. Print and follow these tips, because after reading this, the hunt for your dream gown will be effortless! (: 1.Before: Gather photos of  wedding gowns. Start looking through bridal magazines or apps such as instagram and pinterest, to get an idea of what you like and don't like. When you attend your gown appointment here at The Bustle, our consultants can pin point exactly the style of gown you want to wear because they will have a clear visual of attributes you like and dislike.

Schedule only a few bridal appointments. I promise, you'll be happier and less overwhelmed. Once you've tried on a few gowns, they'll begin to blend together and might look the same to you. It's our job to help you pick out those details and narrow them down to your top favorites!

  2. During: Keep an open mind. There may be some gowns that are diamonds in the rough because of how it hangs on the rack. There are gowns that look gorgeous when put on, so go ahead becuase it never hurts to try them. (: The worse that can happen is that you don't like it, but it also helps affirm that you like another gown more. Don't psych yourself out if one of the first few gowns you try on is the one! It happens all the time to brides because our bridal consultants know their gowns (; hehe. We have many brides coming in for their first gown appointment ever, and fall in love with a dress. Hey, if you feel beautiful, confident, and can imagine yourself walking down the aisle in the gown, why continue the hunt when you've already found one you love?! (:

3. After: Don't do anymore dress shopping. You've already fallen in love with a gown, so don't sacrifice those feelings for the slight chance that there might be something else out there for you! Do start shopping for shoes. You can finally go shoe shopping! It's important to bring your shoes to the first alterations appointment because the height of the heels determine the length of the hem. Focus on other fun wedding planning. Yayyy! You're now able to check one more thing off your to-do list. Now is the time to put more attention to other wedding planning such as catering, decorations, and photography.

Above all, have fun! Ultimately, your wedding is about you and the person you love, so don't let the stress of wedding planning make you lose sense of that. We wish you all the best, and let the hunt for your wedding gown begin!! (:
