Bridesmaids Dresses

As a friend of mine said... "don't make your ladies look like 80's prom victims".  I couldn't agree or laugh more. Although you secretly might want them to look horrible while you shine, think again.  Horrible BM dresses=horrible pictures! Eek! If I got a penny for everytime I got asked for BM dress advice, I would be... sort of rich, :).  After a bride has found her dream gown, they always ask, "what kind of BM dress do you think would match my gown?" It really depends on what

kind of style you are going for. Whenever I do hear brides discussing it I always chime in, so here is what I've got so far:   You don't always have to go with a longer BM dress.  I know many brides are afraid that short dresses might not fall right on different heights, but most likely, you'll have to hem the dresses regardless.  One of our recent bride's is using Alfred Angelo for her BMs. They have great options for different colors and styles.  Remember you can't please everyone; it's virutally impossbile.  With Alfred Angelo, you can pick a certain color and have your girls pick the style, or vice versa.  It is a happy way to de-stress.  Besides their many locations and their online directories are awesome.  For the simple bride, check out the J.Crew line (a personal favorite).  Their online

directory is simple, helpful and accessable by BMs all over the country.  Even simple department stores have great ideas like Macys, Nordstroms, Neiman Marcus or Lord and Taylor.  They are great for ordering in bulk, and don't forget to ask if there are any specials when a certain number is ordered.  We all know a little discount here and there won't hurt ;)
