Why do I need to make an appointment to try on bridal gowns? The Bustle would like to give you and your guests the ultimate gown shopping experience and to do so, we block off an entire suite for the duration of your appointment. By booking an appointment, we have reserved a suite and a personal stylist to work with you to ensure full focus and attention is on you.

Do you accept walk ins? Should you make your way into the boutique without an appointment and we have an open suite and available stylist to work with you, we will gladly accommodate an appointment. Appointments are preferred as this will allow us to surprise you with our special treats.

How long are appointments?  Bridal gown appointments are 1.5 hours.

What are the price ranges for your gowns? Our special order gowns start at $1,500 and go as high as $10,000. Our sample gowns begin at $799.

Where can we park? We have over 65 free spaces in the back of our building. Turn right on 10th street and make an immediate left behind the building.

What should I bring? Bring pictures of gowns you've seen on our website, online, or that you have tried on elsewhere. This will ensure we get right to the look you envision. A strapless bra and shoes with a heal height you plan to wear are great, and we've got you covered on the rest! Last, have an open mind: don't be surprised if you find "the one" on your first visit to The Bustle.

Who should I bring? Bring your closest friends and family who can you help with your decision. You don't want too many opinions and bringing more than 3 people can take the focus off you.  We do limit our groups so call if you plan on bringing more than 3 so we can be sure to plan for extra seating. Children and pets are not recommended due to all the glass, candles, and pins that could potentially harm them.

What is a trunk show? Our designers are constantly designing and release new collections two times a year. Trunk shows give our brides the opportunity to try on the newest gowns along with the designer's entire collection from past seasons. If you find the dress of your dreams, be prepared to make your final decision during your appointment, as the gown does leave the store at the end of the trunk show.

How long does it take to make a gown? All of  our gowns are made to order and have turn around time of 4-6 months. While this is great, we do suggest beginning your alterations process 6-8 weeks out from your wedding. With alterations in mind, the entire process can be 6-8 months.

SOS! You are getting married in less than 4 months- is it too late to purchase a gown from The Bustle? You can still purchase a gown from The Bustle. Depending on which designer and their production schedule, we can rush order your gown for an additional charge. Also, we have a variety of samples available for purchase off the rack. You will be able to take the gown home with you at the end of your appointment, thus eliminating the need for order or paying any shipping fees.

What is a sample gown? Does this mean a bride has worn it on her wedding day? The Bustle is constantly receiving new gowns and to make room, we do sell our samples off the rack. This works well for you as they are marked down from 15-75% off the original price. Let your consultant know if you are interested in samples. Be sure to check our sample sale page as we are constantly updating it with new photos.

Do I need an appointment to shop for shoes and accessories? As we do reserve an entire accessory room for you, we do ask to make an appointment to shop for accessories. This allows for us to have a personal stylist ready to work with you to help refine your entire bridal look.

Can I cancel my appointment? We know things come up, so if you need to reschedule just give us a call! We have a 48 hour cancellation and no show policy. No show appointments will be billed, as we do have brides on a wait list wanting to try dresses. 

I am an out of state bride, but would love to purchase my gown from The Bustle. Do you ship gowns? Because we are located in beautiful San Diego, we are frequented by brides from out of town and have perfected our shipping procedures to get your gown to you. The gown is first received at The Bustle for a thorough quality control. Once we have decided it is nothing short of perfect, we will contact you to discuss shipping details. Shipping fees will apply.

If my dress is a special order, why do we need alterations? As part of the ordering process, your consultant will take your measurements to determine which size to order based off of your designer's size chart. While measurements help determine size, it is important to know that minor alterations are needed to perfect the fit to your body.

How many fittings do I need? On average, a bride is seen 2-3 times to ensure that the gown is tailored to you.
