Our Bride, Christina!

Our beautiful bride Christina was sweet enough to share a few photos of her in her ivory crochet lace gown on her wedding day! Christina looked so amazing all dolled up and ready for her big day! She paired the look with a classic updo by Lindsey Mollenhauer @lindseymollenhauer, berry colored lips and an amazing sparkly belt!  Her traditional ivory bouquet was from Something Chic Floral @something_chic_floral.  Congratulations to a lovely bride! Our Bride, Camylla!

Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Battani who were married in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony! The bride, Camylla wore a stunning ivory lace gown with a sparkly belt and a fingertip lace trimmed veil from The Bustle! One of our favorite details was the lace scalloping all along the edges of the gown from the sweetheart neckline to the long, beautiful train! She was an absolute vision and we are so thrilled to share a few of their wedding photos! The bride's hair was done by Hair by Britney, and the whole day was captured by Kendall E Lane Photography! The soft colors chosen for the decor and florals complimented the romantic simplicity of Leann's gown and we are just smitten with her bridal look! Congrats to the happy couple. leann1 leann3 leann4

The Top 3 Rules for Accessorizing your Wedding Gown

You've found your dream gown after searching high and low!  Now it's time to put the whole ensemble together and purchase your accessories! Where do you even start? Here's a few of our top tips to consider when choosing accessories to wear on your Big Day! Blog C1 1. Consider The Style of Your Gown If you have an intricate lace or detailed back, choosing a thick, 3-layered veil is probably not the best option.  You want to enhance the beauty of your dress, (and yourself) not compete with it.  Choose a veil that has a beaded or lace trim for a simple gown, and pair it with a statement bracelet or earrings.  For a more intricate dress, choose something very understated that doesn't clash with the little details. Blog C3 2. Consider Your Personal Style No bride wants to look "cookie-cutter" on their wedding day, so try to infuse a little of your personal flare into the accessories. For example, if you love to wear a certain color in your everyday life, integrate a little pop of that color in your shoes, belt, or jewelry.  Try a sweater or bolero over your gown for a little fun costume change! Or you can always go outside the box with a blush or different hued gown! Nobody ever said you HAD to wear white!  After all, you should feel like a glammed-up better version of your everyday self! Blog C2 3. Don't Overlook the Details We understand- you've got so much excitement revolving around the dress when you're at your bridal appointment! But don't forget to try on accessories at your fitting so that you know exactly what looks perfect with your gown.  Did you try earrings? necklaces? bracelets? veils? headpieces? hair combs? garters? You definitely want to choose things that you not only like on the rack, but that compliment the style, color, and overall look of your gown.  Consider metal colors also.  If you've got beading on your gown, stick with that metal color to keep the flow going smoothly.   Photo Credit: Oncewed.com; Elleandjae.com

After you say “I Do”

Bummed bride   You've said I do, and cut your cake- Now the wedding is over and you're feeling pretty bummed.  What's next if all the fun is over? Here are a few things you can do to beat the post-wedding blues! Preserve your Gown Wedding gown preservation is one of the most important things to do after the wedding since your dress gets so dirty during a wedding from dirt, to makeup, to that last glass of red wine you probably shouldn't have had- you probably need to have it cleaned.  When you choose to get your gown cleaned with The Bustle, they clean the stains on your gown AND protect it from futher damage from the sun, yellowing, and aging! You can even include accessories, and the best part is that you don't even have to leave your house or find a cleaner.  You can have Fed Ex pick up your gown in the box provided at time of purchase and then they'll deliver it all wrapped up in a few weeks!  It seriously can't even get any easier! Blog B2 Save or Press your Bouquet Here's a question we get asked all the time: What should I do with my bouquet after the wedding? Can I save it? The answer is yes, and since you paid so much money for it, you want it to last past its freshness date! To preserve your entire bouquet, hang it upside down tied by a string around the stems, after removing all the fresh foliage and leaves. It needs to dry out for at least a few weeks in a dark, dry place. You can then put it in a shadowbox.  Alternatively, you can press a few buds in the pages of a book with wax paper.  If you don't preserve your flowers, you can donate them to a local hospital or nursing home after the wedding while they're still pretty. Blog B3 Change your Last Name This is a tricky one, and it involves a bit of work on your part.  The first step is to fill out an application for a new Social Security Card, which you need to have all your legal documents on hand for, including your driver's license, birth certificate, and of course your marriage license. From here, it's pretty smooth sailing but you do have to change everything individually.  Don't forget things like bank accounts, credit cards, online accounts, doctor's offices, and billing documents.  It's definitely a lot of work, so this should keep you busy for a while.  There are services to help you along the way, but they really only provide glorified instructions on what to change, you still have to do most of it yourself. Good luck! Blog B5 Relax, and Enjoy Being Married! It's no secret that planning a wedding can be a little stressful, so try to focus your new free time on your new spouse and enjoy your new married life together.  If you find yourself searching for something to fill the hole that wedding planning left, find a new hobby that makes you happy. Try to appreciate the little things in life, like hanging out and watching Netflix instead of  having to call the caterer and florist daily to make changes! Your wedding is one of the best memories you will ever have, but don't forget to continue to make memories and just enjoy every minute of your time together! P.S. your wedding album is still there for you to relive every. wonderful. detail. Blog B6   Photo Credit: Google

Wedding Band 101

Finding the perfect wedding band to go with your new sparkler is a lot like finding the dress!  You want something that's going to compliment your engagement ring without overpowering it, so it may be more difficult than you thought.  Here are a few tips to set you on the right track: Blog A2 1. Go for a wrap, curved, or matching band. It can be a struggle to find something that fits perfectly flush next to your ring, especially if it's a low or large setting. You can choose a sparkly wrap band that surrounds your center stone on both sides, a curved band that allows the setting to sit right next to the center stone if it is too low, or choose the matching band that was made for your ring. Blog A3 2. Stack it up Many brides need something a little more practical than a big old rock that gets in the way of gloves, manual labor, snags things, etc. so a big stack of low-profile sparklies can be unique and stunning.  Take a cue from Emily Maynard and get your bling on in mismatched bands of all sizes. Blog A1 3. Rock the Gap Some brides want their e-ring to sit flush with their bands, and while that's good for those ladies, others just want to rock the gap! It's okay to have a band that doesn't connect right to the other.  Blake Lively's gorgeous pink oval ring and mismatched rose gold band are the perfect example. Blog A4 4.  Go Band-less! When you've got a vintage, uniquely shaped, or large ring, it's alright to let it stand alone and speak for itself! You can always wear a plain band on the other hand or rock it on vacations.  Ultimately, it's your ring, and you've got to rock what you love!
